Hello Everyone!
Well it Sunday and I am preparing for this new week. Making plans about what exactly I have to do to make this week successful. I finally got my Adoption page up on Facebook, now I have to find a picture or symbol for it. I have decided to make a gift a crochet or embroiled bookmark to send along with each order of 50 dollars or more made on my Etsy store.
I am still working on the sweater set I have completed the blanket and am going to post the pictures of it today. I have not even decided what cap pattern to use and I am having problems with my doll so all projects are still going on!
I have decided to do a Bible study on adoption, oh the things we learn when we look! Adoption is not a foreign concept! The Bible mentions orphans constantly and the treatment of them! I won't quote the scriptures, unless you want me to! Please comment thank you

Hello Everyone! So here are the pictures of the bath scrub mitten, I finally got them downloaded.

As I have mentioned before, the Internet is really big to me, I read all kinds of information on it, any questions I ask myself I look it up on Google. So I've been doing a lot of research on adoption, reading all the policies of the countries that allows international adoptions plus state adoptions; there is such a range and an agencies to fit every person. Right now I'm thinking that I would like to have at least 2/3 of the funds that I need before I make the next step. I looking for the best opportunity that will be best to make my forever family. If you have any comments or suggestions please leave one I'm interested in what you have to say!

Life List-Bucket List

Hello everybody! I was looking through some old papers that I had and I noticed sadly that I never even accomplished one thing on my Life List, you knew; that list about everything you want to do before you die, it's now called a Bucket List thanks to that movie by the same name. Any who, I wanted to go to Brazil, learn Portuguese, and be a historian. I wanted a wonderful life with four children; those dreams are so dead. It is weird how we grow and change as the years pass by. I sometimes wonder what I would tell the 16 year old me, she was so full of hope and had many dreams. Now at 38 I have not accomplished any of them. I am working on making peace with that on a daily basis though. I have accepted that I now have new dreams, my Bucket List is mostly different, and that's not a bad thing. We grow, we mature, we change, and we have to accept this if we want to live with ourselves and be okay-content, and if not content, work on being that way. I always say to myself, walk your path! Failure is about not even trying to obtain the dreams you have. Peace and love!

The Doll

Hello Everyone!! I hope you are having a great day. I do not know if I have mentioned that I love making dolls and used to have a blog about them. Any who, so I am making one right now, I need a model for the baby stuffs. I'm making for my Etsy store, since I do not have access to baby I thought a doll would works. I'm working on making it as realistic as possible. I am making it from a stretch cotton blend in the front and upholstery grade muslin fabric in the back then covered in artist medium, a technique I read about on the doll artist Rivkah Mizrah's blog it allows me to paint it and extents the life of the piece. I love her blog I have learned so my different things that help me to perfect my doll craft. I will post pictures when I'm done. I have not yet decided if it is a girl or a boy. More than likely I will let Miss A decide, she is a very curious child who never and I mean never stops talking and asking questions. This is great in the middle of the day and morning but not when I am tired. Usually I do not discourage her as it, in my opinion, helps her form her world views and I try to actually pay attention and not let it be background noise. I hate to admit this but I find her fascinating, the way her mind works! I hope my future children are half as interesting either way I would consider myself lucky!

History of Adoption

Hello Everyone! Another beautiful day! when I went to college, before I got married T graduated with a BA in History and a minor in Political Science so my greatest hobby is reading History Tomes; I love them! Finding out about what leads people's lives and their cultures also what happened and how they lived their lives really captivates me. So now I am in a search of adoption in History and how it became what it is today; further details to follow.....
On another matter, so I finish the scrub mitten and tried it out, it really works! I did one side in a knit and one in crochet its really neat and did I mention it works really well to clean the skin! Also I am nearly finish with the example of the baby blanket that I have been making for many years for my friends and family's babies. I am also going to make a sweater and cap for my Etsy store. I am doing it in multi colors to show the variety colors it could come in, thus when you order it you can customize it to your taste, or even other colors and an you can have it separate or a set.
I will put the pictures on my flickr page which is Roarling1 if you are interested in seeing my work. I am not really good at computers so this blog is a means of learning more and maybe I will become more tech savvy! Wish me luck!

Frugality and Adoption

Hello Everyone!

I am working as a nanny, a job we all know does not pay well but it affords me the opportunity of spending my time with children until I am a mommy (sigh)! Another project is getting the concierge service going, there are so many steps, like everything else in the world nothing comes easily. Any who, in my quest to raise funds for all the steps to my adoption and taking care of myself. I have become, wait for it....A frugalista. I did a mega Internet search on ways to live a debt free life. Mostly it requires research and planning. The mantra being never pay full price for anything so you can save the difference. This was not that hard for me as I already made most of my own clothing and cooked the majority of my own food being that I do not eat a lot of meat products. I would like to one day be a full fledge vegan, living in a place where I can growing my own food and live a simpler life with my children, but baby steps, no pun intented. Being fabulously frugal requires, in essence, the desire to spent the time and energy to save money. For examples, buying beans, while the can would be easier the bag of raw beans are way cheaper but requires a lot more work on my part. In addition, I soak the beans overnight which cuts way down on the cook time(frugality to the fullest) so for the same price of one can of beans I get a pot of them that can be divided and frozen to be used at a later date. Yeah I love saving, plus people in this economy is there really another choice?

Flickr

Hello Everyone! I am keeping it really short today as i am going to finally join some flickr group tonight. Yeah!! I've been a watcher for over a year and had only one contact....Tarja Simpanen who is in my opinion is super, she makes fabulous shoes for fashion dolls. I love her blog and her photos on flickr she has motivated me to put my photos on the internet and blog about my dreams.
Today I am begining a new project I am making bath cloths that exfoliate the skin. I will be doing an experiment to see if knitting it or crocheting it would be best or a combination of the two. I can't wait to give you the results.

"Chase your dreams for there you will find happiness". I pray happiness for you all!

Requirements

Hello, everyone new day new task, today I a working om a new product for my Etsy store; a cotton crochet dishcloth, with a fabric backing and bonding on the edge, which I will sell for 5 dollars in sets of two's. Also I am adding a trivet that matches that sold separately.

There are so ma aspects to having a successful adoption and many requirements that adoption agencies expect you to complete even before you are matched with a child. My agency is particularly hard but though I find it daunting it is not entirely impossible. I am not complaining though, I am really happy about this; working towards this goal has given me great purpose. I am starting a concierge service with a girlfriend to work in my community, we offer exclusive service for our clients- cleaning, cooking, general maid service, laundry, grocery shopping, office work, lawn service, childcare, and many other services to ease their daily stress. We have a long line of independent contractors that we are pulling under one umbrella to ensure that our customers have a marvellous life. Personally our mission is to allow families to spend more time together without the stressful work and activities that forces families apart. We imagine a working mother and father coming home to a clean house, all their chores done, children's homework done and dinner ready, all they have to do is eat dinner and spend time with their children. With every one's life being comfortable and satisfied.
We are also interested in growing small business in this economy by offering freelance workers which will help their overhead cot because they will have to supply employee's incidentals.

My Dream

Hello my name is Fiona, I am a 38 year old woman, who is divorced, childless and trying to be a mommy. Let's all be real, we know the statistics about the rate of older women remarrying and having children that it is not very promising which as a realist, lead to a serious depression; however, I started a research on the Internet and around my community and came up with an idea that I cuddled and cared for until it became a full plan!
While I could live without having a husband, I can not live without having children, this is something that is so very important to me! My plan adoption, there are many children in America and around the world that need homes and someone to love them, someone to comfort them, why not me? However, there was a major problem, I had spent the last 15 years mostly as a housewife and as we know this profession does not pay well. So I needed a means to facilitate my dream, of not only adopting , but helping others adopt also. Where am I to get the funds from? After hours of watching You Tude I had an AHA moment...I decided to open an Etsy store selling all the things that I had been making for years as gifts. The profits of the store will go to my adoption fund and the non profit organization, I will soon be starting to encourage more people to adopt. So this blog is a means for everyone who is interested to see exactly what's going on. I will blog daily and will be discussing my adoption process, the crafts I make, and the general things that come before me.
Thank you for stopping by and please become a follower and if you have any questions leave a post and I will answer in a timely manner!
